TeamViewer is used to manage all our clients and support users with all kinds of IT issues in our company. As we have offices in 4 different locations, users who are on the road and all this is managed form a small IT-Team of 3 people it is essential to get access to clients from out headquarter.
  • Remote access to clients
  • Data transfer from and to the clients
  • Get system information of clients
  • Management GUI
  • Connection speed to clients
It's a perfect tool if you want to get access to clients from remote locations without thinking about blocks through firewalls in most cases.
Since the last big update and redesign of the GUI it's more uncomfortable, some settings are hard to find and also the performance is much worsers then before.

We use TeamViewer to control and work on employees computers. We have about 15 remote workers and TeamViewer works great. We can install software, Chat, and pretty manage the whole computer with TeamViewer. It is great that we dont have to use VPN to connect to it can connect anywhere in the world with the ID and Password.
  • Fast and secure connection
  • Chat feature works well
  • Monitoring and Asset Management
  • I would like to be able to send commands in the background
  • It would be nice to have a backstage option to join with out user being aware
  • I would like to be able to send install jobs to computers with physically remoting on.
I think the unattended feature is awesome. Working in IT and being able to control any one of our owned machines at any time is a must feature. This allows our Tech Team to remote and change settings on any PC with no external users input. This is great for employees who forgot password and cant get into the machine to allow my remote access. I don't think there is an areas that something would be less appropriate.

We use TeamViewer when we want to access a computer at a different location. It is usually used to troubleshoot problems that another location may have. Due to the demand for remote work it was easy to use TeamViewer when we needed to make presentations or access content from a different location.
  • remote access
  • user friendly
  • works quickly with good internet
  • issues contacting support when needing help
  • file transfer not available
  • timeout
It is best suited for the work from home worker. It allows for a secure remote connection. It is easy to use and user friendly. You do not need to have a degree in technology to understand the software/application. All you need is for both computers to have TeamViewer and you good to go.

We use TeamViewer to provide tech support for problems that don't require a home visit, or where a home visit would be more trouble than it is worth. These appointments can be for any kind of computer problem a home user could experience. We have around 40 such digital appointments every day, and these typically are all on Windows computers. We also rarely use TeamViewer for support on Android, iOS, or macOS devices.
  • Easy connecting
  • Smooth controls
  • Diverse use cases (Windows/Mac/phones...)
  • Automatic reconnecting on restart
  • Interrupting other calling software during connections
  • Clearer instructions from QuickSupport downloading to connecting
  • Very different starting screens across different versions
TeamViewer is the perfect program if you are looking to assist someone from a distance with a minor problem they are experiencing but that cannot very well be explained over the phone, or perhaps even for some collaboration tasks. TeamViewer is not suited to assist people with big software problems that BIOS access or more complex operations. It can be useful but harder to use when connecting to the computer of someone who is very bad with technology, as they might even have trouble downloading, locating and opening the QuickSupport tool.

We primarily use TeamViewer for remote control of computers located in our colo facility. As we work remotely, we placed our individual computers in the colo for reliability, and control them from home. These computers are on our corporate network, giving access to all our necessary resources. We also use TeamViewer for screen sharing when we need to work collaboratively to solve a problem
  • Remote Control
  • Screen Sharing
  • Handling multiple monitors
  • Sometimes getting TeamViewer to show two monitors in the way I want to see them can be tricky.
  • Sometimes we have trouble when screen sharing - and have to restart the process
We love TeamViewer's ability to provide remote control functionality, and it's screen sharing capabilities. We rely on these features every day for all our remote work. Remote control is very responsive, almost like directly using the remote computer. Glitches almost never happen. Screen sharing also works quite well, even when both users are also using remote control.

We leverage technology at multiple levels in our organization, and the need to remote in and have others remote assist is often time-sensitive. We need a cross-platform ease-of-use solution for such applications, and TeamViewer is superior!
  • Cuts through permissions, firewalls, and other restrictions that other software often cannot get through.
  • Responsiveness of TeamViewer is nearly as real-time as the actual workstation.
  • Mirroring hardware and resolution is superb.
  • The ability to easily chat while remote assistance is active is also invaluable.
  • My primary hindrance for using TeamViewer as a tech decision maker is the price points of the subscription.
  • There have also been a couple challenges for functionality on Mac due to OS updates or TeamViewer updates.
  • The requirement of remote computers to log in with the organization or individual’s login has also been a challenge…especially when passwords change.
The ability to work, regardless of the level of experience of the users is quality number 1!

In this era of remote work or home office, all organizations need tools, technologies and applications that address different aspects of this work, such as security, resilience or availability. In our university, the use of applications or platforms to connect remote workstations was fundamental during the pandemic. Now the home office continues to be present in different areas not only administrative but also academic. TeamViewer in certain cases functions like an alternative of our main platform of remote work.
  • Easy to use for novice users
  • Highly secure in the complex context of remote work
  • Most of the communication functions for remote control in this type of application
  • Easy acquisition process for enterprise environment
  • More intuitive client application
  • Simplify the user interface
  • Get more options to meet network requirements for users with low or stable connectivity
We recommend using TeamViewer as a secondary plan for remote connection, as a VPN to a remote work network for user computers. However, not all use cases apply. For example, TeamViewer is not the best solution for remote connections of high-privileged computers in a corporate network; there are more robust software and solutions with higher security. TeamViewer is a very good solution for connections that don't require a high workload in the remote session. It works very well for remote support of users who have simple problems that can be solved in a few minutes. This application requires very stable and good Internet connection, so it should be considered.

We use TeamViewer as a corporate since we have to reach several users and sometimes several servers which are in a container. Since we have very limited rights for the users they are mostly dependent on our IT Team Support for different installations. And we use TeamViewer and not Teams since it gives more freedom to the users. We think is very easy for the users too and gives more independency while working remotely. Easy configuration with AD and computers names and tags.
  • Secure remote access
  • Great support
  • Web-Based remote access
  • Versions compatibility
  • Commercial Use suspected notice should disappear
  • Prevent lost connection when Iphone screens turns off.
For a company scenario is a great software for remote access. In our case is helping a lot the IT Support Team that is dealing with different issues and TeamViewer is a great tool for them. We have enabled some features that none of IT can remotely login via TeamViewer to any user machine without the user accepting the session. We the user accepts and we finish our work it pop up some windows which are a little bit too much letting you know that the session has ended or a bit of commercials if you can call it so.

TeamViewer is primarily used in our organization. The #1 use case is that it makes it easy to provide remote support. We use it to connect to employees' computers and solve problems. In some cases, we also hold one-to-one meetings via TeamViewer. We prefer TeamViewer both to connect to a remote computer and to talk about a common topic once related. Finally, we use it to provide maintenance connectivity to embedded devices such as tablets and mini PCs. In all these scenarios, it allows us to solve problems remotely without the need to access the device physically.
  • Remote connection.
  • Saving time.
  • Ability to monitor the recorded devices.
  • The connection time can be slow in some cases.
  • Difficult to use due to version differences.
It will solve your problem in many scenarios where you can provide remote support. If you do not need to physically reach the devices, TeamViewer will be enough for you. Thanks to the feature called Pilot, you can offer step-by-step solution suggestions in augmented reality experience. For example, you are not on the air but you know that the device can be intervened by following certain steps. At this point, you can create step-by-step instructions with the pilot feature.

TeamViewer allows us to connect to and control remote computers and devices. We look after unmanned fuel stations and being able to monitor and connect to the machines and servers quickly is sometimes mission critical. Providing technical support and troubleshooting for users on site and our clients is our core business. TeamViewer allows us to do this securely and efficiently.
  • Quick and responsive control of sites, even ones with slow connections.
  • Accurate machine status despite sometimes flaky connections.
  • Sending commands to machines.
  • Adjusting view preferences.
  • Better user support when making requests.
  • TeamViewer signing out unexpectedly.
  • Display timeout period after connections have aborted frequently due to bad or slow internet.
  • Allow for disabling of pop ups and prompts i.e update prompts or review requests.
Great for managing multiple machines in tandem and for quick connection and responsive control of computers located in remote areas where net speed is an issue. Transferring files from one device to another is quick and reliable 80% of the time. Sometimes when connecting to a site with a slow connection, the screen will be blank / black and a restart of the TeamViewer service or machine seems to be the only solution.

I usually use it to control someone else's computer remotely, when a friend, a client, or a customer is unable to set up something or facing some troubles while dealing with some technical things. In my office, I used it to solve the problems my client was facing overseas. I was able to access his computer remotely and I was able to fix the email connectivity issue that he was having in his computer.
  • Remotely access computers
  • File Sharing
  • Chat through voice or text
  • The speed needs some work
  • The security is good but sometimes it doesn't connect even with the correct password or Username
  • If other user is non technical then matching latest versions and then connect is very difficult.
Solving a computer-related problem when the other person is non-techy and you can not just tell them everything because your technical terms sound gibberish for them, really helps in those scenarios and TeamViewer is the software that if not stuck due to version issues, even nontechnical users can understand.

Creating international Links to Windows server systems at customer side to support their system setup and data analysis.
As well as inviting potential new customer sharing with them online insights of our Manufacturing Execution System DIAMES platform.
  • Give us internationally active remote access to DIAMES servers at customer side for support issues.
  • Give us the opportunity to present our DIAMES solution live to potential new customers without physical visits.
  • Enable us with three business locations on three continents sharing a common IT environment without physical visiting another of our business location.
  • Gives us the opportunity sharing a life problem in our DIAMES application with software tool providers when we recognize a problem for which we need support.
  • We are very happy about the TeamViewer functionality and recognize a lot of advanced functionality in comparison with AnyDesk for example.
  • It's fast and very reliable.
  • We think that TeamViewer is a very secure platform.
  • We like to use new feature and functions when they get available.
Creating connections to DIAMES systems in Australia, China as well in South Africa with same speed and response like with systems in Europe or USA is a huge benefit for us.

TeamViewer is used in my organization mainly for remote support and collaboration. The main buisness problems it helped me in solving are virtual meeting, presentation, secure document access and authorization. The scope of my use case is mainly revolves around remote work and collaboration and allowing members of to collaborate in real time.
  • Collaboration: great SECURE access of shared documents in real-time
  • Streamline collaboration on projects
  • ensuring secure access to specific documents to authorized memebers only.
  • Resolving techincal issues remotely.
  • Performance issues in low-bandwith situation / slow-internet connections
  • Missing project management integration
  • Absense of offline functionalaity to work offline
  • Missing customization options for users per their needs and interface
It is very well suited for basic remote accessing shared documents. remote project collaboration, presentations and meeting.
It sometimes stalls a lot when internet bandwith is limited and missing offline collaborative features.

TeamViewer is the go-to for remotely accessing and supporting our customers. The ability to create an inventory of customer connections and manage them effectively has become keystone of remote support. The customisation of the support portal and QuickAssist option make supporting customers easy, effective and almost seamless. Additionally, the options available make streamlining the experience at both ends a breeze.
  • Easy access - clients for numerous operating systems
  • Works with or without and account
  • File transfers are seamless and fast
  • Erroneous detection of commercial use
  • Nothing more to add. Works very well.
I have used TeamViewer in various situations. It is well suited for support of devices both in house as well as remotely. During COVID, TeamViewer was a valuable tool in ensuring that we could fully support customers, clients and in-house staff safely and effectively. A fantastic use case is where support of very remote locations is required. TeamViewer allows for full access and support without having to incur the cost of travel which can quickly climb. This saves the customer time and money.

We use TeamViewer in our organize for our IT support team to access our PCs to troubleshoot the problems related to software or any other tool, and resolve those problems remotely. So, we don't need to take our PCs and laptop to the IT department for troubleshooting, and IT people don't need to come to the operations department to check the issue.
  • By using TeamViewer, our IT support team has been able to solve the problems very quickly
  • Since we can refresh the password, the security of the session is assured, so the same IT support consultant can no longer access my PC with the same password.
  • Files can be moved and copied through out the PCs, so that the required files, tools can easily be moved and installed through the session
  • Sometimes, it is taking a bit of time to start the session (the incoming connection to load), so that the initializing time of the session can be increased
  • There's no option to create own ID as Your ID. So, it will be user-friendly if we can generate our own TeamViewer ID in our desired way
  • When the network connection is changed (connected to a VPN while the session is active), the session gets disconnected, and sometimes have to restart the TeamViewer, so it's better if TeamViewer can identify the network connection changes automatically and automatically reconnect using the new network.
Although there are few problems (room for improvement) for TeamViewer to consider and develop/resolve, the features they are providing are very important for almost all the types of companies when resolving computer issues effectively and timely. Since all the operations reporting is nowadays done through systems, a software like TeamViewer is very useful.

Instead of physically going to a user's workstation, we are able to remote into it in a non-intrusive manner so that we can see their issue in real-time instead of them trying to describe their issue. Also, during off-hours, if a person is having trouble remotely access ing their workstation, I can easily check its status.
  • Ease of access from desktop app
  • Announcing presence of support to host
  • Easy to add a new one-time connection
  • To use the web app, the desktop app has to be installed - this means on vacation, I still have to bring my laptop
  • There are regular instances when all machines are connected to the internet but TeamViewer says the user is offline
It is good for accessing computers from an established workstation. It is terrible when trying to access them from the web app (even though it has 2FA and is sure you are an authorized user.

We use TeamViewer for both remote acces/ support and server backups. We are big fans of the remote access and support, however we have had some frustrating experiences with TeamViewer backup, and the vendor support of the product. Remote connections work well and that is internally a preferred solution to connect both within the organizational infrastructure and externally to our devices that may be on other networks. The backup solution has failed to initiate several times and we never made any headway with the vendor on a root cause analysis of why it would fail to trigger or store backups.

  • Remote desktop connection
  • Access across known, internal networks
  • Access across unknown, external networks
  • TeamViewer backup has not lived up to expectations
  • Backups fail to generate
  • Intermittent difficulty accessing backups
  • Frustrating support with TeamViewer backup
TeamViewer has multiple solutions, across various roles. We are quite happy 10/10 with their bread and butter remote access product. However we have been frustrated with TeamViewer backup 5/10. Overall that puts us around a 7/10, but I stress that you read this review closely because product offerings have expanded. We've also grown from a small to medium sized business and continue to use the product.

In my organization, TeamViewer is very useful as we are working remotely, so when we are facing any problems or issues while working on our laptop, we can directly contact the IT team and provide the ID and password so that they can access our laptop to help us resolve the issues we are facing. It is also useful for new software installations, which can be handled by the IT staff because we cannot install them directly without an admin ID and password. Employees who are working remotely can use this software, which saves time while working.
  • It is quite useful for installing new software.
  • It also allows us to access remote devices from both computers and mobile devices.
  • There is adequate security on the connection to prevent access by anyone.
  • It allows us to quickly change the password and generate it randomly without any delay.
  • I will suggest adding a feature that can generate passwords randomly within a timeframe that is set by the user so that it is more secure.
  • You can focus on increasing the speed at which files are transferred.
Based on my experience, I think TeamViewer is very helpful to the organization because it allows their employees to work remotely instead of working from an office. I am working remotely, and many times I have faced issues like my laptop getting shut down for some reason or when I want new software. At that time, I can quickly contact the IT team and share my TeamViewer ID and password so that they can access my laptop remotely and fix the issues that I am facing.

We use TeamViewer primarily for Remote support by the IT helpdesk. We use TeamViewer to support end users with all types of workplace related issues and questions. Our support department uses this as their primary remote support tool, remotely connecting to users. The general consensus is that this tool suits our needs very good.
  • Secure connection
  • Ease of use
  • Stable
  • Requires knowledge to prevent security issues (leave session open/unattended)
  • Users can sometimes be a bit overwhelmed
  • Integration with teams
Tool is good, but market is becoming more and more competitive. We see especially users reaching out to us via Teams that do not see the need for additional tools. Teamviewer however fits better for the cases from an IT perspective. It is therefore for us from our IT department not a current need to change. Pressure is increasing however

We use TeamViewer to get quick access to workstations and servers that we access remotely.
The tool is quick to load and allows us to gain full access to the workstations as well as allowing us to manage many different servers with the application installed.
The tools security for logging in also is a plus.
  • Quick Screen refresh with slow network connections
  • Light app to install on workstations
  • Easy to use tool
  • Additional features to view applications installed on a workstation
Team Viewer has been around for a long time and has over time become one of the go to tools for remote control of workstations and servers.

We use TeamViewer for client meetings to show the clients how to use and assist them. The problem that TeamViewer has solved is it lets you connect for free and also allows screen-sharing this is very easy for clients who are not very technical we can also set up meeting which is awesome.
  • setting up meetings
  • easy joining
  • awesome support
  • remote access can be used for malpractices such as hacking and ransomware.
  • the black screen feature is a major disadvantage which gives the user access to black the screen of the remote-connected devices hiding background processes.
  • requires strong bandwidth for video connection.
TeamViewer is best suited for group meetings where everyone is working remotely from their homes or when working remotely from holiday.

it is not appropriate in places when when it is used for malpractice this should be TeamViewer should do a bit more to avoid

also, it cannot be used in open offices where places where all we need a bit of background suppression

TeamViewer is a great software for remote access. It helps IT diagnose and debug issues easily without having physical access to a work station. The file transfer feature also helps to transfer files quickly. All of this while also having a call feature to communicate with the end user really bring it all together. It can also be used as a tool for collaboration.
  • Fast and easy-to-use
  • File transfer is particularly helpful
  • Good for collaboration as well
  • Tends to get slow sometimes
  • If both machines have a different screen resolution then the image gets distorted
Best suited for -
1) Remote access for IT support
2) Collaboration
3) File transfer

Not very well suited for -
1) When you want to collaborate while working on software that are graphic intensive like photo/video editing, rendering, etc.

We use TeamViewer to help our customers with technical support issues, training, and problem-solving. We also use this internally to assist our sales team in getting their demo equipment set up for independent use. Sometimes, our customers do not have the technical chops to get through the configuration of their equipment or are having trouble with a feature that our technical support staff is able to assist with. Likewise, our sales teams are focused more on account management than the technical aspects of the gear, so being able to help remotely is a huge time saver.
  • Screen sharing.
  • File transfer.
  • Secure connections.
  • Remote audio transmission.
  • Slightly laggy sometimes.
  • Don't like the lockout feature after multiple attempts.
  • Audio sourcing is confusing sometimes.
It is well suited for tech support when someone is in the office or call center, and the person being helped is in the field with an internet connection on a laptop with updated software. When the remote user doesn't have a stable internet connection or when they are tethering/hot spotting a phone, it's less ideal.

I use TeamViewer to offer end-user support to my remote clients. This is in support of a financial management system called SunSystems. In addition to this, I also use it to offer training to my remote users who use the FMS. The module includes financials, procurement, Asset Management, and reporting options.
  • Connection to remote users over non consistent connection.
  • The screen resolution is very good making it very clear to work on remote machines.
  • It has a lot of interactive options when working remotely that enable you to work and interact with the client remotely.
